Global Guest Link to Install High-Speed, Wireless Internet Access in Hotels
Global Logics, Inc. announces the launch of Global Guest Link
SHEBOYGAN, WISCONSIN — July 19, 2002 —Global Logics, Inc. announced today the official launch of their new service Global Guest Link. Global Guest Link will install and support high-speed, wireless Internet access in hotels across North America. At all properties guests will be able to access the unlimited and FREE high-speed wireless network anywhere from inside the hotel without charge while they are registered at the hotel. Global Logics, Inc. announced yesterday the successful completion of the install of the networks at two hotels in Sheboygan, Wisconsin: Harbor Winds Hotel and Holiday Inn Express, with another installation currently in progress at Holiday Inn Express of Brown Deer, Wisconsin.
"Hotel guests can now have the freedom to roam about their room and the hotel," said Luke Pfeifer, President and CEO of Global Logics, Inc. "We are able to do an install in an average hotel for around $10,000 or less including all equipment needed for the guests and the hotel"
The Global Guest Link network is completely setup under the 802.11b wireless technology that operates on the 2.4ghz range. All cards that are supported under Wi-Fi will work with the network. At all hotels if a guest does not have wireless equipment they are able to loan the equipment from the hotel's front desk free of charge during their stay. Along with the ability to loan equipment from the front desk, all guests are offered free 24/7 technical support via a toll phone telephone number for support on the wireless network.
On the hotel side of Global Guest Link, operators are able to concentrate on operating their hotel without the hassle of maintaining the wireless network. A small monthly fee for each property covers all support, warranties, marketing materials, and provides toll free support for all guests on using the network. The fee also includes all marketing materials for the property along with complete front desk training and support. During the installation of the network, guests will be able to stay at the hotel with out any disruptions. Typical installations take 3-5 days for a limited service property.
"We are currently targeting limited service properties. These properties have been overlooked by other providers, who charge a substantially higher price for installations, " commented Steve Belongie, Vice-President of Global Logics, Inc. "Guests are already impressed with the idea of the network being installed in hotels. Before long Internet access in hotels will be a standard feature like cable."
